What is Halal Competency Assessment?

Halal Competency Assessment (HCA) is an assessment conducted by the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (Muis) to recognise individuals' Halal competency. It is compulsory for the Halal Team Leader and Halal Assurance Officer to pass the HCA for their company to qualify for Muis Halal certification. The HCA involves a 50 computer-based Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) through a 90-min duration. More information can be found here.

Is the 'Halal Competency Self Check' programme by Halal Practitioner approved by Muis? 

The "Halal Competency Self Check" programme we developed aims to equip individuals and businesses with the necessary knowledge to pass the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (Muis) Halal Competency Assessment (HCA).

While Muis does not officially accredit any organisation to conduct Halal competency training, our curriculum closely follows Muis' guidelines. We strive to provide comprehensive training aligned with the Halal Certification Conditions, giving our participants the best preparation to demonstrate their understanding of Halal standards and obtain Halal certification.
